TRIMEGADON

Rory Skagen was born in Portland, Oregon in 1962, and graduated with a BFA from the University of Arizona in 1984.  He has resided everywhere from Altoona, Pennsylvania to Los Angeles, California.  Stacking previous careers like pancakes, Rory served humanity's needs for a number of years as a clerk at an animal hospital, strip club DJ, credit manager and short order cook.

Rory arrived in Austin in 1992, and quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the finest murals across town.  After working together on a variety of projects, he teamed up with Kevin Collins and Dana Younger to form Blue Genie Art in 1999.  They specialize in creating custom artwork including murals, sculptures, trade show booths, museum displays, parade floats, and art cars.

Rory continues to flourish as an artist outside of Blue Genie, as he continues to paint, draw, and create a line of products including mugs, keychains, prints and bizarre sundries that continue to amaze, impress and befuddle the masses.
